One of south west’s fastest improving schools celebrates stunning results

The King Alfred School Academy (TKASA) students in Highbridge are delighted after achieving wonderful GCSE grades at the end of a brilliant year.

The academy showed some staggering increases from last year – making it one of the most improved set of results in the south west.

Some 19% of students achieved grades 9-7, while 53% scored grades 9-5, and 73% had grades 9-4.

The students also achieved some fantastic individual results with Ben Youd and Nikola Fabicka achieving 8 grades 9-7(A*-A), including 4 grade 9’s and Umama Akma achieving 9 Grades 9-7. Sophie Fenegan, Oliver Farnham, Hannah Murdoch and Louis Jones also achieved 8 grades 9-7.

TKASA is one of the fastest improving schools in the south west with 2 years of significant improvement and good news.

Principal Nathan Jenkins said ”There is such a brilliant buzz about the academy and we are so thrilled with these GCSE results which come on the back of an amazing year”.
