News and Happiness merge for first time in refreshing launch of new online newspaper

News and Happiness have merged in a unique new UK/global newspaper – the Good News Post.

With rocketing levels of anxiety, depression and other mental health issues, caused by 24.7 modern life, phone and social media addiction, news has to change.

Welcome to the Good News Post – a unique ‘one stop shop’ of News and Happiness.

The Good News Post is the world’s first newspaper designed also to practically boost the happiness, calm and mental health of its readers.

The Post was formed in 2017 at the same time as the Jill Dando News project was created out of the murdered BBC TV presenter’s former school Worle Academy. Now hundreds of young people aged 8 to 18 find and write positive stories and interview a range of people.

We remind young people and the world – there is far more good news out there than ever gets heard about.

This UK/World newspaper was born in the brilliant, kind and positive style of inspirational BBC TV journalist Jill Dando.

Jill was the ‘face of Britain’ before she was tragically murdered in 1999.

Children in her childhood home wanted to do positive UK and world stories – instead of the constant Media bad news.

The Good News Post was born. It has expanded to cover all good news across the world.

There are over 100 Jill Dando News reporters aged 8 to 18 working across schools.

Bad news constantly is really bad for our brains. It can cause anxiety, fear and depression.

In contrast, our news will help make you more positive, happier and hopeful.

Our news team are passionate to cover good news from across the UK and the world, and to become a one-stop-shop for all things positive.

Our brains work best on the fuel of good news!

The Good News Posts exists to be a one-stop-shop of good news, hope and positivity.

Our inspiration is Jill Dando, who was brilliant, kind and humble.
