Extraordinary Eco-clothing trade (by Holly and Chloe, 10, Jill Dando News)

An Eco Club at a brilliant primary school held a clothing swap to help save the planet.

The amazing pupils at Castle Batch Primary School Academy in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset held the event in their school atrium.

Children were given given the option to donate clothes such as coats, school uniform, shoes, club uniforms and sportswear.

Overall most clothes were accepted as long as they were clean and in good condition.

One of the members of the club told our Jill Dando News reporters: “I am excited to help sell clothing.“

The reason they did this is because the children have been given a challenge called “Cut the Carbon”. Out of the options children were then given they over all decided on a clothes swap.

We hope that the children go on to help our environment in many different ways.

(Well done Holly and Chloe, both aged 10, from Jill Dando News for finding, researching, interviewing and writing up this story)
