Super charity comedian Eva, 14, wins big award

By Jill Dando News

A young comic who is raising awareness and money, while bringing smiles to the faces of millions, has been recognised with the Stephen Sutton Inspiration Award at the Pride of Birmingham Awards 2023

Eva Abley, aged 14 from Cannock, Staffordshire, UK has cerebral palsy and has always loved comedy.

So much so that she perfected her own stand-up routine and made it to the finals of Britain’s Got Talent last year with a series of hilarious sets, challenging stereotypes around what it means to be a young person with a disability.

When she’s not on-stage making people laugh, Eva uses her quick wit, determination, and contagious energy to raise money for others.

Having been supported by the team at Birmingham’s Children’s Hospital throughout her life, Eva raised over £15,000 for the hospital after organising and performing at a ball in Wolverhampton.
