Wonderful World Book Day! (By Chloe and Oliver, 10)

Castle Batch Primary School Academy in Weston-super-Mare, and the other schools in The Priory Learning Trust (TPLT) in Somerset, UK celebrated World Book Day to learn about new books. 

Throughout the country, schools have been doing special activities to celebrate books and to inspire young minds to write more stories. 

“In my class, we painted toilet rolls into our favourite book character. My favourite book is Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian.” said a Year 6 child – Toby. 

“We brought in our favourite book and read it in our DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time,” said Louis. 

World Book Day is celebrated all over the world and hopefully authors come up with some ideas for fantastic fascinating books.
