School football team impress

The Mary Elton Primary School boys football team are through to the county championships after competing at Clevedon School.

The students did enough to finish first, making sure that they qualified for the county championships and compete against other schools from across the south west in the not-so-distant future.

As well as the boys doing well, the girls competed the following week and also did Mary Elton proud!  After five hard fought matches, the girls finished in 2nd place.  Mary Elton is definitely a force to be reckoned with.

PE Co-ordination Mike Flory said: “From the start of the tournament to the end, they all played their hearts out!”
