Girls school team impress after playing together for first time

A high-flying Weston football team are setting the football world alight just weeks after playing for the first time together.

Priory Community School Academy student girls Under 16s team are now through to round three of the Somerset Cup after an incredible win over Millfield School’s elite team.

The students had not played with each other before and have several players who could go on to play professionally.

PCSA is a brilliant school with a fantastic sporting tradition and department alongside a wide array of other subjects and extra-curricular activities.

PE teacher Louise Spence said: “This was an amazing result for the girls. They play football out of school but this was the first time playing together. I am very proud of them.”
