Free 8am healthy breakfasts are on offer for every student including those in the Sixth Form at King Alfred Community School Academy in Highbridge, Somerset.

All students will be given a healthy and delicious porridge with optional honey, raisins or jam.

Friendly catering staff at the excellent Aspens will be on hand to smile and serve the students.

Research shows that children who start the day with nutritious food and exercise are more likely to achieve higher grades in their studies.

It is the latest initiative by the school and The Priory Learning Trust to provide a fantastic learning environment.

Principal Dan Milford said: “This is really good news for our students.

“Starting the day with a healthy breakfast helps to make for a better day and even stronger learning.”

The Sixth Form is attracting students from across the area, including many from Weston-super-Mare, Worle, Bridgwater and even internationally as well as from Burnham and Highbridge.

TKASA and its Sixth Form have had outstanding success in the last few years since becoming part of The Priory Learning Trust and seen its popularity soar with improvements to facilities of well over £1 million.
