Amazing students mark Remembrance Day in tribute to World War Heroes

Students from Priory Community School Academy joined students across The Priory Learning Trust (TPLT) to remember those ‘who gave their tomorrows so we could have our todays.’

Students and staff at the Weston-super-Mare school in Somerset played a performance of the Last Post, then held a two minute silence.

Multiple different groups showed up to give the tribute their were people from scouts, rainbows, Army, Air and Sea cadets.

Tributes were also paid by over 5000 students and 700 staff across Worle Community School Academy, The King Alfred School Academy, St Anne’s Church Academy, Castle Batch School Academy,  Pawlett Primary School Academy, West Huntspill Primary Academy and East Huntspill Primary Academy.

Our reporters discovered that in some countries they hold longer silences. for example in Lithuania they hold theirs for 5 minutes instead of two.

This means that even though we all gather to give tribute to heroes in different places they have a different version.

Alongside excellent educational achievements, TPLT places massive emphasis on its civic duty, charity and community work.
