Inspirational charity-raising student Makayla Nunn, 15, of Priory Community School Academy is celebrating after a mystery donor gave £2000 to fund a renewal of her school robot.

Robbie the Robot has transformed ME-sufferer Makayla’s life by taking her place in the classroom so she can still study.

Now after appearing on BBC radio, a mystery donor has come forward to give £2000 for a renewal. Makayla has raised multiple thousands for charities over the years and has been featured on Media across the world after the Priory Jill Dando News Centre broke the story.

Mum Michelle, said “We are absolutely over the moon with what has been given to help Makayla in her current studies and also for the future.

“We are extremely grateful to this gentleman and his kind-heartedness – it means so much to Makayla and myself.

“This opens up all sorts of opportunities. We really believe it would be amazing to have a Robbie in every school in Britain. It also allows more children who are missing school due to illness etc to be able to access inclusive education.”
