Maria, 12, is fast following in the footsteps of former BBC TV star Jill Dando who started reporting around the same age at the same school.

The Jill Dando News reporter asked leading CEO Matt Gubba a question that revealed a fantastic idea about his inspiration.

The Worle School School Academy student in Worle, Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, part of The Priory Learning Trust was taking part in the latest top-level Business Leader interview in partnership with Good News Post.

The Business Leader partnership project sees children as young as 9 in memory of TV legend Jill Dando partnering with a leading British business media company in a unique world first.

Business Leader with 100,000 subscribers across the nation and a print edition are interviewing top high-flying business people each week including SAS: Who Dares Wins star Ollie Ollerton and Dragons Theo Paphitis and Steven Bartlett.

Now in a slot called the ‘Good News Postcard’ students aged 9 to 18 in Jill Dando News in The Priory Learning Trust schools are asking a range of questions as part of the interview.

Jill Dando News is a journalist training academy based in the UK that has trained up hundreds of young reporters in the model of ex BBC TV star Jill Dando. 

Their stories go on the Good News Post www.goodnewspost.co.uk 

Reporters aim to be kind, positive and brilliant in their journalistic interviews and writing. 

Reporters in 2017 post their stories to Good News Post and the wider Media.

Jill Dando News was set up with a mission to take Worle to the World with global good news.

They have previously interviewed Prime Minister Boris Johnson in Downing Street in front of millions of global TV viewers, TV’s Fiona Bruce, a NASA astronaut and more after being trained for 6 years by professional journalists and Jill’s brother Nigel Dando with 48 years’ experience.
