Brilliant school choir thrives in UK Young Voices event

By Jill Dando News

The school choir from Kewstoke Primary School in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset travelled to Birmingham arena to take part in a national event called Young Voices.

The children had been rehearsing a selection of songs on the build up to the day and were really excited to be joining over 100 schools to perform together.

During the day the children were able to watch performances from a range of artists, from beatboxers to violinist playing popular songs and music.

They rehearsed the songs ready for a show stopping performance in the evening.

The parents joined later, as the audience, and were treated to thousands of children singing with actions, music and even light effects.

Acting Headteacher Helen Lovejoy, who works for Castle Batch Primary School Academy (CBPSA), said: “Our choir had the most fantastic time and felt proud to be representing amongst so many other school children.”
