Lily-Jean, 11, of Worle Community School Academy in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset has been selected for the Welsh Aerobic Gymnastics Home Nations Team.

She will now train with the team via Zoom and in person in Wales as soon as Covid19 restrictions allow.

She could make her first competitive action for Wales by travelling internationally late this year if Covid-19 rules enable foreign travel.

Amazingly, Lily-Jean started Aerobic gymnastics at age four and competed internationally for Great Britain in Bulgaria aged only nine.

Lily said: “I’m very excited to have been selected to represent Wales and I am looking forward to training with new coaches and gymnasts.”

Principal Jacqui Scott said: “Lily-Jean is performing brilliantly in aerobic gymnastics and this is yet another tremendous accolade at such a young age.”

Lily-Jean attends Weston Aerobic Gymnastics Club.
