Big hearted pupils bring Christmas cheer to care home residents with virtual visit to sing festive Carols

Pupils from St Anne’s Church Academy in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, ‘virtually’ visited the Nashley House care home in Bridgwater to sing Christmas carols including Jingle Bells, Oh Holy Night and Oh Little Town of Bethlehem.

The Year 3 pupils also made beautiful Covid-safe Christmas cards and wrote messages for the residents where one of their pupil’s Great Grandma lives.

They have been doing the same for a number of care homes across the area.

Principal Emma Hardy Smith said: “We are always very keen to reach out to the community but especially this year.

“We are connecting with a number of care homes in the local area to spread some Christmas joy. We wish everyone a very safe Christmas.”

The academy is part of The Priory Learning Trust.
