High-flying Ryan gets top job in London five years after becoming Britain’s youngest teacher

Inspirational former Worle student Ryan Scott is now starting a job as a chartered accountant in London.

Five years ago he left Worle Community School Academy in Weston-super-Mare with 10 top grades and after winning the UKMT National Maths Challenge in Year 10.

He then became Britain’s youngest teacher by helping out in Priory Community School Academy’s groundbreaking Evening School.

Now he has just graduated from Bristol University with a 2:1 in Economics and Finance.

Remarkably at the same time he became a fully trained pilot.

He also completed an appointment advanced corporate finance summer school programme with London School of Economics (LSE).

In his spare time he became the Winner of UKMT National Maths Challenge and achieved 3 A-levels A*, A, A in Physics, Business and Mathematics – the highest in his college.

All this while also helping out at the Ascot Group, which runs projects in Weston, London and beyond, including Britain’s biggest business magazine, the Business Leader.

Ryan said: “I am very excited about the future. I will never forget my brilliant time at Worle and also as a teacher at Priory which helped to build my skills and confidence.”
