By Jill Dando News

One of Britain’s biggest space experts wowed student astronomers with an excellent talk on the sun, moon and stars.

Dr Robert Massey the Deputy Director of the Royal Astronomical Society visited Worle Community School Academy in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.

He further inspired the students with sensational information about the universe beyond our planet.

Dr Massey is pictured with students left to right, Max, Callum, Oliver, Kacper and Flavio.

He showed stunning photos and spoke about the history of the human fascination with space.

He discussed whether life could exist on other planets or moons within our solar system and also beyond to other galaxies.

Science teacher Oliver Finch said: “This talk was really out of this world! You could hear a pin drop as our students found out about the current missions investigating the potential for extra-terrestrial life.
