Cricketing star Tom nominated for award

Congratulations to Tom, Year 11 at The King Alfred School Academy (TKASA) in Highbridge, Somerset.

He  has been nominated for the England Cricket Board and Somerset County Cricket Up and Coming Grassroots player award.

It not only recognises his playing achievements but also his volunteering within the @HuntspillCC youth section.

Tom's nomination is for the Grassroots Award for Rising Star for volunteering.

TKASA has an amazing developing Sporting Leadership programme to launch stars of the future.

Head of PE Kate Clough said: ”This is a fantastic achievement from Thomas; to willingly give up his time and support others is a real credit.

“At TKASA we are incredibly proud of our developing Sporting Leadership programme, and the number of students who are developing their skills. They are fantastic role models to the other students.

Tom has been helping with coaching @HuntspillCC for several seasons on our @allstarscricket + @DynamosCricket programs.

A spokesperson for the school said: ”We are very proud he has recieved this nomination.”
