Students perform stunning performance of the Wizard of Oz

Hundreds of people in the community were wowed by a spectacular performance of the Wizard of Oz.

The three night spectacular show took audiences on a journey from Kansas to the Emerald city at Priory Community School Academy in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.
Dozens of students helped out in the production, performance, and with acting, marketing and hosting amongst lots of other things.
‪The incredible performance drew a capacity audience over three evenings – and was the latest drama performance to thrill the crowds out of Priory.‬
Mark Ncube (11), who played a munchkin, said: “I enjoy mustering up the courage to perform in front of people.”
Jack Winn also brought tears to the eyes of many when he stood up and dedicated the show to his grandad who had passed away the same week, thanking the cast for their unbelievable support.
One of the winged monkeys, Tamsen Markham (11) explained that her favourite part of the play was the chase scene and that she “joined the show for her love of drama’.
Ruby Griggs (11), who played a munchkin in Oz, explained how she felt “nervous but proud at the end, having been played her first character on stage at Priory.
Principal Angelos Markoutsas said: “This was a sensational performance of the Wizard of Oz and the visiting parents, grandparents and community were kept on the edge of their seats by the brilliant acting, singing and dancing. Well done to everyone.” http://www.pcsa.org.uk
