“The foodbank was there when we really needed it, it was an absolute lifeline.”

The Foodbank has really helped the people who have needed it the most, supplying them with the essential food items they need.

The food is provided to supply families across three days, ensuring they have food to eat and essential items to get them through.

At Christmas the demand is higher than ever so the charity works tirelessly to give out their gifts at this festive time.

Priory Community School Academy in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset is collecting items and fundraising to support Weston Foodbank - their charity of the year - this Christmas.

Students are making a collection of food and toiletries; in return they are permitted to wear a Christmas jumper on the last day of term.

The Foodbank can be located in these places in the Weston region:

North Street Centre, Weston-Super-Mare (Wednesdays and Friday)

The Family Centre, Chaucer road (Tuesday and Friday)

Banwell Youth and Community Centre (Tuesday and Friday)

The Purple Sheep Centre (Tuesday)
