This week, Jeffrey the King Charles spaniel will be a special visitor in a class of five year olds!

Jeffrey, the Jill Dando Team mascot, is to do a learning lesson visit to help five year olds’ with their animal project.

Since 2018, Jeffrey has secured many visits including helping mental health charity In Charley’s Memory with their work.

Incredible, as a puppy he even met world pop sensation Oli Murs who was delighted to meet the popular pooch while watching a Weston-super-Mare FC FA Cup football match in Somerset.

Jeffrey even pulled out last minute from meeting a Prime Minister who was making a school visit.

He helps out regularly at schools across The Priory Learning Trust including Worle Community School Academy and The King Alfred School academy.

And King Charles Spaniels have risen to prominence recently, in this new Royal era of King Charles’ reign.

This week Jeffrey will be very excited to take a visit to Castle Batch Primary School Academy – a primary school in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.

The school is part of The Priory Learning Trust which also runs a Jill Dando News Team of its own, in honour of BBC TV legend Jill Dando.

Teacher Ellie Brownlee and her Year 1 class had been taking a look at animal structures and so Jeffery was called upon to help the young students with their learning.

He decided to take a little trip to Castle Batch to participate in the lesson.

A Jill Dando News student said: ”Students were delighted that a real animal could join them to truly increase them with their understanding of pets!”
