Christmas avalanche of goodies for Foodbank

Inspirational Weston school break Foodbank school-collection record after donating 1 tonne “breathtaking” avalanche of Christmas goodies

Big-hearted students, parents and staff at Priory Community School Academy packed hundreds of items for Foodbank into two vans.

It broke all records for school giving across the area.

Due to the unbelievable amount of donations Foodbank have received in the past couple of weeks they are completely full and are asking people to hold on to future donations until mid-January.

PCSA is a community school that inspires citizens of the future that care for others.

Principal Angelos Markoutsas said: “This was an unbelievable amount of food, toiletries and gifts to be donated. 

“The Foodbank also said it’s the biggest school collection they have ever seen! This is absolutely amazing and demonstrates the generosity of our students, parents and staff.”

Frederique Wigmore of Foodbank, part of the Trussell Trust network, said: “This was an unbelievable amount, just breathtaking. Thank you to everyone who donated.”http://www.pcsa.org.uk
