Blue skies, birds singing, peace, sun and family conversations. Why I loved the 2020 Lockdown, by Shane, 13

At the start of lockdown the weather was sunny and very hot and it seemed to go on and on.  

I sat outside everyday and listened to the birds singing with tunes that I had never really heard before.  

Everything seemed so peaceful with no overhead noise from aeroplanes which was a first. 

Lockdown was a very strange time but nice in another way. I loved the blue skies – the peace and quiet and more conversation with family. 

Now everything is back to normal with the noise of cars, aeroplanes and helicopters. The birds songs have faded somewhat, but they were happy days in a way.
