Steph and her sister were out on a walk in Weston Woods preparing Mendip Challenge charity walk-in in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset when she suffered a heart attack.

But thanks to a Good Samaritan resident, she was helped, nurtured and then passed to emergency crews.

Steph, left, with sister Sandra

Now she is back to full health and thankful for all the help by people and emergency crews.

Steph worked for Priory Community School Academy in Somerset, part of The Priory Learning Trust, as a cleaner for many years. Twin sister Sandra said: “We are so grateful to the actions of this Good Samaritan"

After passing Weston Woods, Steph said she felt hot and clammy and rested for a few minutes.  Later when going past Worlebury golf club, she suffered from jaw ache and other pains around the body.  She  said to her sister that she needed an ambulance.

We knocked on the door of a resident who was very helpful. Sandra added: “She is very resilient and so thankful.”
