Year seven student Roman has reached 200 positives in two months - the first in his year to beat the milestone.

The student of Worle Community School Academy, Weston super Mare, Somerset, part of The Priory Learning Trust, is blazing a trial in earning positive reward points.

Positive reward points is the school’s way of rewarding students, based on its PROUD values - listed in the photo below.

Our Jill Dando News reporters interviewed Roman and obtained some top tips!

To begin with, he ensures that he participates in extracurricular activities, so that he can get one positive for each.

Roman does geography club. Next, he told us to "always follow the values and be the best you can be." This can be helped by the amazing staff encouraging students to go for your goals.

Roman is hoping to be a medical scientist, helping cure diseases, or to be a cricketer.

He said: “Participate anyway, even when you’re feeling down, because it will help you reach your dreams.”

Principal Mark Tidman said: “We are passionate about our values and we are super proud of Roman and achieving so many positive reward points in his first year at the school.”
