Wonderful children win art festival competition

Incredible children are celebrating after winning an art competition as part of an exhibition.

The pupils of Northgate Primary School (1st) – Minnie Marsh, (2nd) – Jake Blake (3rd) – Mia Hughes, (4th) – Kacey Whaley were given gift vouchers to spend in WHSmith’s for their amazing work.

The children are all part of the Key Stage 1 Art club and created a piece of art based upon the theme of their local community, all organised by Homes for Somerset.

As part of their winning prize, they attended an exhibition of their work at the Engine Room. 

Headteacher Katie Penny said: “Well done to all the pupils – the artwork was really outstanding and they had great fun in the process.”
