Latest Defibrillator Installed As Life-Saving Mission Continues
By Jill Dando News
Westcotts Chartered Accountants & Business Advisers in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset proudly unveiled a life-saving defibrillator, made possible thanks to a generous donation from the Weston-super-Mare Chamber of Commerce.
The defibrillator, now installed at Westcotts’ premises, was funded through the Chamber’s fundraising efforts and installed by local Electrical Partners, AMS Electrical – SouthWest.
The initiative is part of a broader community effort to increase access to life-saving equipment throughout the town.
To mark the occasion, members of the Weston-super-Mare Chamber of Commerce gathered at the office for a special photoshoot. Joining them were the AMS Electrical – SouthWest team, along with representatives from the Donate For Defib WsM Project, including Malcolm, Josh, Maya, Lucy, and Peter.
Peter, one of the project team members, captured the event with a series of photographs to commemorate the milestone.
A plaque, recognising the fundraising efforts of the Weston-super-Mare Chamber of Commerce, will be installed above the defibrillator in the coming weeks. A photo of the plaque will be shared with the community in due course to celebrate the achievement.
The defibrillator has already been registered with the British Heart Foundation and The Circuit, making it officially available as a rescue-ready resource for those in need.
In addition, Westcotts Chartered Accountants & Business Advisers, in collaboration with M De C B Medical, are organising CPR and defibrillator awareness sessions. These sessions will be available to both the Westcotts team and members of the Weston-super-Mare Chamber of Commerce, providing essential life-saving training to all involved.
A spokesperson for Westcotts said, “We are deeply grateful for the support and efforts of everyone involved in this project. It’s wonderful to see the community come together for such a crucial cause.”
The defibrillator marks another step forward in ensuring Weston-super-Mare is equipped to handle emergencies and save lives.
More information on the upcoming CPR and defibrillator awareness sessions will be available soon.
