The High Sheriff of Somerset met with the Donate For Defib WsM Project team at Revo Kitchen to discuss the charity's remarkable progress in providing life-saving equipment across Weston.

The project, which aims to place defibrillators within three minutes of any person in Weston, has seen significant growth in recent months.

According to the High Sheriff, the number of installed and publicly accessible defibrillators has increased from 22 to 56 in just four months, with more installations planned.

Crucially, these devices have already been utilized approximately 36 times, resulting in saved lives.

During the meeting, the charity's team, including Josh, who is described as the key inspiration behind the initiative, presented the High Sheriff and his wife with a 'Certificate of Thanks'.

The event was also attended by representatives from their electrical partners, AMS Electrical - SouthWest.

"Josh and the team are fantastic," the High Sheriff commented. "They provide an integrated package which people or companies can sponsor, and they have brought in local companies, especially AMS Electrical - SouthWest, to help."

He expressed particular admiration for the volunteer team, including Anne, Liz, Andy, Jason, Lucy, and even Maya the dog, noting their effectiveness and suggesting potential expansion into wider Somerset.

The charity team used the opportunity to update the High Sheriff on their current developments and ongoing community support, particularly their work in raising awareness of the Chain of Survival.

A video recorded during the meetup is expected to be shared in the near future, along with additional updates on the project's progress.
