Students at The King Alfred School an Academy have been celebrating their annual Raise and Give (RAG) week, raising money for the Highbridge Area Foodbank.
TKASA’s Sixth Form organised and hosted an array of brilliant events. A favourite was ‘Soak the Teacher’, where students lined up to soak their teachers with a sponge, or even a full bucket of water! Mr Johnson, Mr Lewis, Mr Jones, Mrs Martin and Ms Bonnett bravely volunteered for the challenge.
Mr Suchecki, Mr McBride, Mr Smith, Mr Keyse and Mr Swaine faced the ultimate test of courage – getting their legs waxed!
The crowd was full of laughter and cheers as teachers winced, smiled, and powered through the pain, all for a great cause.
During Teacher’s Karaoke, the spotlight was on Mrs Owen who took students back to the 70s with her rendition of ABBA. The students were blown away by Mr Disney’s cover of ‘Please, Please, Please’ by Sabrina Carpenter and his fabulous wig!
The Sixth Form students all took part in a fancy dress walk on Thursday to raise even more money for charity. The school raised a record breaking £2400!
Mr Radnidge, Assistant Head Teacher and Head of Sixth Form, said
“I am so proud of what the students have achieved this week!”
