The King Alfred School Academy’s production of Sister Act stole the show at the prestigious David Beach Adult and Youth Awards Evening on 7th March, winning an incredible six awards, including the David Beach Youth Trophy for Best Production!


With nearly 500 people in attendance at the Somerset school in Highbridge, the night was a resounding success for our school’s talented cast and crew.

The evening saw Sister Act take home awards in multiple categories:


• Best Creative Lighting - Dawson
• Best Male Lead - Freddy as Eddie Southern
• Best Musical Director - Mr John
• Best Director - Miss Keeble
• Adjudicator’s Award - Penny Lambert selected Raise Your Voice and the nuns’ chorus as the show’s most outstanding moment.
• Best Overall Production - Sister Act

Director Miss Holly Keeble expressed her pride and joy: “We had a wonderful time celebrating and are just so proud of all the staff and students involved.”


The buzz around Sister Act was phenomenal, with numerous committee members expressing their excitement for our school’s next production.
