Dan Jones helped Fowey River Academy in Cornwall to implement the ambitious project as part of its rapid acceleration in excellence under a new multi-academy trust.
Dan’s work has already had dramatic positive effects upon every child’s education and saved money for the Academy.
ICT Network Manager Steve Lemin said: “Dan took on the arduous task of providing high-quality Wi-Fi for a 1:1 Apple iPad rollout project.
“Dan was commissioned to survey the site and recommend and install a robust and future-proof system that could cope with the demands of an emerging Academy, part of the Leading Edge Academies Partnership.
“Dan has shown a great understanding of Fowey’s requirements, and his delivery of the project was first class.
“Working to tight timescales and liaising with leading contacts at Apple and Cisco, he was able to fulfil the requirements and has transformed how ICT is delivered at the Academy.
“We are thankful to Dan for all of his hard work and continued support of the project.”
Dan previously helped out The Global Academy in Hayes, London, to do a complete Wi-Fi makeover helping keep them at the cutting edge of modern technology.
The 14 to 19 400-student state-of-the-art academy was officially opened by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry in 2017, with the event beamed live across the world.
The Academies are just two of many across Britain being helped by Dan – seeing their Wi-Fi speeds rocketing to record levels, and saving thousands of pounds in the process.
Dan is one of the world’s leading experts on Wi-Fi. He is a regular guest speaker at some of the globe’s most significant Wi-Fi events and helps schools and colleges get the best quality Wi-Fi speed and quality globally.
Dan, Of Maven, based near Bristol, said” Schools and academies can really boost learning and save a lot of money by ensuring they have an excellent strategic view of Wi-Fi and technology, in a very fast-moving world.
“Apple makes some of the best hardware on the market, and I am passionate to help Headteachers and CEOs to get 100% of the potential Wi-Fi speed and quality that is deserved from using Apple products.”
