Teaching and non-teaching staff of Priory Community School Academy Somerset were surprised with an ice-cream treat to celebrate them on National Thank a Teacher Day.
At 3:30pm after students had departed, music blared through the tannoy to announce that the ice-cream van parked up in the school car park in Worle, Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.
Every staff member was invited to choose a free ice-cream as a gift from the leadership team who wanted to recognise all the hard work which teachers do, year round.
The school has a Jill Dando News centre where students such as Amelie and Evie are trained up to find stories just like this one and more from around the world – full of kindess and positivity.
