Richard Uffendell, Vice Principal at Priory Community School Academy in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset raised hundreds for In Charley’s Memory (ICM) by running from Weymouth to Exmouth.
The amazing teacher left Weymouth at 9pm and arrived at Exmouth at 7pm the following night.
The race is so gruelling and sees runners climb hills to reach 6,500ft, and out of 101 competitors 25 did not finish.
ICM caters to people aged 11-25 and offers affordable care to people that need it. ICM has also been chosen as The Priory Learning Trust charity of 2019/2020.
Richard said “It was tough going throughout. I will be completing further ultra marathons and trail marathons this year to raise support and awareness of this charity and its work.
“Anyone can do this – it’s all about mindset.”
