Super Sam, 11, makes his mark with brilliant community kindness

He has only been at his school for a few days, but already super Sam has made his mark with brilliant community kindness.
The brilliant Year 7 student has helped his school, to raise over £1000 in cash and 179kg in food. He also helped to organise and run a ‘Pre-loved’ uniform sale over this summer holidays.
Staff at Priory Community School Academy in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset are really proud of his achievements and for all the items and money received.

Head of Year Lee Dodson said: “We are all super proud of Sam. He is clearly already settling in at Priory and has shown remarkable kindness, generosity and community spirit.”
Priory is part of The Priory Learning Trust which has chosen to support local needs by naming Foodbank as their charity of the year for 2022-2023.
Foodbank collection points are across receptions in every school so students, staff, parents and carers can donate food and other items.
Schools in the TPLT are Worle Community School Academy, Priory Community School Academy, The King Alfred School Academy, St Anne’s Church Academy, Castle Batch School Academy, Pawlett Primary School Academy, West Huntspill Primary Academy, East Huntspill Primary Academy and Berrow Primary Academy.
It has a highly successful Sixth Form based at The King Alfred School Academy, and also the thriving Little Learners which are nurseries and pre-schools based at their primary schools.
Alongside excellent educational achievements, TPLT places massive emphasis on its civic duty, charity and community work.
