Students at the aspirational Worle Community School Academy want to make a difference in the world by one day being in Number 10 Downing Street.

Last year’s Head Girl Daisy Dennett (pictured centre with head girl Olivia Finch, left, and Archie) is joined by this year’s Head Boy Jack Clark (pictured below) in wanting the top job to implement environmental changes and many others.

Head Boy Jack Clark wants to be Prime Minister to drive through environmental changes. He has helped his school become one of Britain’s best eco schools.

And another female student, Year 9 student Virginia Rulli-Gibbs, pictured below, is also setting her sights as PM.

Virginia, 23, wants to be Prime Minister. She has been helping a cancer charity,

Both female students would like to become the third woman in British history to become the Prime Minister, following Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May.

Jill Dando was a former student at the Weston-super-Mare school in Somerset before becoming Britain’s best journalist and the face of Britain. The academy now has a Jill Dando News Centre to train up future journalists.

The proactive students have helped the academy to win a string of regional, national and international awards for its environmental work, becoming one of the Greenest schools in Britain.

It now has electric car chargers, electric bikes, travel to school changes and a host of other improvements.

Daisy said: “Politicians and Prime Ministers can make such a difference and I am excited to use my energy and career to help the planet and also lots of people.”

Principal Jacqui Scott said: “We encourage aspiration on a daily basis and we are delighted that so many students are wanting to make a difference in the world.”
