The event, aimed at equipping young people with crucial rescue and first aid skills, combined water safety exercises with CPR training.

In the morning, students learned various water rescue techniques, including the "reach rescue" method. The afternoon session focused on CPR and the DR ABC protocol (Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing, Call for help).

"We learned how to check for danger and determine if someone really needs help," said student Damien William Smith. "It was a really interesting day."

This initiative prepares students to respond effectively in emergencies, both in and out of the water.

As summer activities ramp up, these newly trained young lifesavers are ready to enjoy the season safely and potentially help others in need.
