Students get to be entrepreneurs, baristas, business people, teachers and much more in post-pandemic work experience

Students got to be entrepreneurs, baristas, business people, teachers and much more during the first work experience event since the pandemic.

Nearly 300 year 10 Priory Community School Academy students in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset enthusiastically got involved in hundreds of different careers and industries.

They were praised by bosses for their character and talent.

The Priory Learning Trust Director of Careers James Wilmot said: “We have had tremendous feedback from the employers. Our students learned so much from their roles.

“After two years of the pandemic we are thrilled to be able to see students back out there getting some incredible learning experiences.”

In recent years the academy students have enjoyed work experience with a massive array of people including world superstar astronaut Tim Peake. Amelia Wright spent a week with the European Space Agency.

Tim took part in the first spacewalk outside the International Space Station by a British astronaut in 2016.
