Students celebrate on Little Miss and Little Mr World Book Day

Students and staff at Castle Batch Primary School Academy Weston-super-Mare did a Little Miss and Mr World Book Day theme forWorld Book Day.

Enthusiastic students and staff from across The Priory Learning Trust in Somerset have been dressing as their favourite characters from literature.

A spokesperson said today, “This was a great idea from Mrs Harraway and expertly executed by our fab team – Little Miss and Little Mr World Book Day!”

World Book Day is a charity that promotes reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the chance to have a book of their own.

It says reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success – more than their family circumstances, their parents’ educational background or their income.
