Students at one of Britain’s best Sixth Forms interview over 500 Year 7s

By Jill Dando News

Year 12 students at The King Alfred School Academy in Highbridge, Somerset supported the careers team at The Priory Learning Trust to interview over 500 Year 7s at Priory Community School Academy in Weston-super-Mare and The King Alfred School Academy.

The Year 7 students created a CV, researched a job role and had a mock interview.

Students then had the choice to have a personalised poster made and each received a certificate.

Jodie Silmon of PCSA said: “This was a tremendous event. The Sixth Form students were professional yet warm and friendly and built a real rapport with the Year 7s.

“It’s fantastic to have a Sixth Form form within our Trust where students can act as role models to the younger year groups.

“The Sixth Form students now have experience working within education to add to their CVs and university applications.”

The Sixth Form is part of The Priory Learning Trust and is attracting students from schools in Weston-super-Mare including Priory Community School Academy, Worle Community School Academy, as well as Bridgwater.

TKASA Sixth Form has a 100% pass rate, with 80% going to Russell Group Universities.
