Sam, 12, of Priory Community School Academy in Somerset recently organised and ran a pre-loved uniform sale.

All the money donated was used to buy essential items for Weston Foodbank which is the school's charity of the year.

Pre-loved school uniform items were collected and sold to parents and students so not only did the idea benefit Foodbank users but it helped students in need of discounted uniform.

Sam was able to buy enough food to weigh in at over 65kgs!   Receiving a thank you and recognition for his efforts, Weston Foodbank said 'your donation is invaluable'.

The charity says on their website:'we don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis'.

Weston Foodbank is part of a nationwide network of Foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust.
