Teen Toby goes 5000 miles to help African kids

Big-hearted Year 11 student Toby Quinn has been helping children in Ghana, Africa.

He took pen pal letters from his school John O’ Gaunt in Hungerford, England, who have also been raising funds.

Now JOG students have committed to giving at least £500 to the children every year.

Toby said: “English is their second language but they did very well. They learn similar topics in school to us including maths, social studies, science and geography and manage it all in English.

Principal Alan Henderson said: “Toby is an absolute inspiration.”
