Babies born in the area of Bath and north east Somerset, during July, have been given their own copies of the 1926 novel ‘Winnie the Pooh’ to encourage reading from a young age.
Alongside receiving the classic novel, babies were also invited to play sessions in local libraries on the 19th, 25th and 26th of September.
Mr Ball, cabinet member for neighbourhood services, said:
“A child’s earliest years are crucial to their development and life chances."
