Pupils show appreciation for frontline NHS workers amid global pandemic

Students at Ashcombe Primary School in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset have made cards to cheer up NHS workers during their work on the coronavirus crisis
The cards have been sent off to the A&E department at the Bristol Royal Infirmary hospital, where they are taking pride of place in the staffroom.
The idea was thought up by those attending the key-worker childcare club.
Headteacher John Clark said: “The cards made by our key-worker childcare club is a small gesture that can go a long way during this difficult time, and we hope we put a smile on the faces of the NHS workers at Bristol Royal Infirmary.”
Ashcombe have recently launched plans to create their own Jill Dando News Centre within the primary school, with schools such as Worle Community School Academy and Priory Community School Academy in the local area also reporting on good news within the school.
