Pupils got to meet Thunder the Robin mascot while quizzing a local footballer.
The pupils at West Huntspill Primary School, East Huntspill Primary School and Pawlett Primary School Academy loved meeting Thunder the Robin and Bridgwater United FC player Nick Woodrow.
Thunder is the mascot for the Somerset football club – and causes much happiness wherever he goes.
All classes were able to meet him and then he gave each class a bauble with the Bridgwater United FC logo on it.
Pawlett Principal Emma Barker said to Nick: “Thank you so much for spending the morning with us and sharing all about your football experiences.”

The Huntspill and Pawlett school sites are in one of Britain’s most picturesque settings.
Pawlett which has a history in the village over 150 years ago, is situated in incredibly stunning grounds with sports pitches, a forest school, adventure playground, and next door to a state-of-the-art community club with a 3G football pitch.
Both Huntspill schools joined The Priory Learning Trust (TPLT) earlier this year, and both saw the restoration of the school bells which rang for the first time again in September. https://www.theplt.org.uk
