Pupils delight at gift of 10 new laptops

Two village primary schools are celebrating after receiving five new laptops each, donated by Asda.

West Huntspill Primary Academy and East Huntspill Primary Academy are now enjoying using the ten excellent laptops.

The schools are going from strength to strength after being supported by The Priory Learning Trust over the last year and becoming officially part of the Trust earlier this month.

Acting Principal Steve Davis said: “Thank you to Asda for this generous gift. These are very exciting days at the schools and for our communities.

“We want to have the very best technology to support our learning without limits.”

Head of Primary Education at The Priory Learning Trust Lisa Dadds said: “The last 12 months and the lockdowns have shown just how much technology is vital in today’s learning environments. 

“We are thrilled to be supported by Asda and other businesses operating in our community.”
