Priory Community School Academy students praised after superb individual GCSE exam performances

PCSA students have excelled again in their GCSE results with some superb individual performances.
After the Covid19 pandemic and with exams regulator, Ofqual, saying that there would be a return to pre-pandemic grading, students were up against it, but came through with flying colours.
There were smiles, laughter as the students celebrated in the hot sunshine at their North Worle campus.
Among the students excelling were Samuil Vasilev who will be among the best performers in the country with 10 grade 9s and one grade 8. His Grade 8 was in the optional extra course of Further Mathematics which capped off an extraordinary raft of the top grades.
Samuil now plans to study to become a doctor in the future.

Principal Angelos Markoutsas said: “The pandemic has made things incredibly tough in so many ways for these students and we all are incredibly proud at what they have achieved. They should be very proud of themselves.
“It was wonderful to see so many smiles - they have excelled. Well done for all their hard work and determination to succeed.”
Director of Secondary Education at the Priory Learning Trust, Gregg Morrison said: “Our whole family of TPLT schools want to say a massive well done to all of the students, and their families.
“This is a tremendous set of results and we wish them all the very best for the future.”
