Pre-school closes to make way for state-of-the-art new facility

Priory Preschool is closing its doors after over 25 years on site at Priory Community School Academy in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.

The excellent preschool and its team have been such an asset to the local community, providing a quality education to local preschool children.

Mandy Bishop and Carol Smith have been at the preschool for over 20 years and have thoroughly enjoyed supporting the children to learn and grow.

Now the preschool provision at PCSA is closing to make way for Little Learners at Castle Batch Primary School Academy which is due to open on Monday 5th September

It will continue to provide a quality education to children aged 2 – 4 years, less than a mile down the road.

Priory Preschool Manager Sam Perry will be transferring to Castle Batch in September and is really excited to continue working with Mandy, Carol and preschool practitioner Laura Harper.

Amy Marsh, Early Years Strategic Lead said: “it’s a great time to be moving our Early Years provision to Castle Batch.

“It makes sense to have the preschool provision on our primary school site. It will be great to offer children aged 2 -4 the opportunity to learn, grow and develop in purpose built classrooms.”

The new provision will offer flexible sessions between 7.30am and 6.00pm for 50 weeks of the year.

Sam and the team have been planning the curriculum with Helen Lovejoy, Early Years Foundation Stage leader at Castle Batch.

Castle Batch has been part of The Priory Learning Trust since April 2018, which also has nearby schools Priory Community School Academy and Worle Community School Academy.
