Clevedon School welcomed over 100 attendees to the first Winter Warmer evening of the year - the biggest and best yet.

Every Wednesday throughout January, the school offers a complimentary three-course meal from 5pm to 6:30pm for the whole community, served by an enthusiastic team of student food ambassadors.

The students, under the guidance of Head of Food Kate Davies, take on roles such as serving, clearing, and washing up, ensuring the evenings run smoothly while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all.

The evenings are more than just a meal. They provide a vital space for connection during challenging times, with students facilitating conversations, organising board games, and even entertaining the audience with live music and performances.

Head of School Sam Kent said, “Our Winter Warmers have again gone brilliantly and have been the biggest yet with even more students taking part.
“The concept is fully centred around the people of Clevedon, whereby we provide a local gathering space for our wonderful community to enjoy a meal together.
“It’s a chance for people to connect, play games, and enjoy musical performances—all facilitated by our brilliant students.”

This year’s Winter Warmers are enriched by themed evenings that celebrate different cultures.

The final event on January 29th will coincide with the Lunar New Year, offering a Chinese-themed menu and entertainment to mark the occasion.

The events are supported by sponsors Chartwells and Fineline Lighting, whose contributions have been instrumental in making the Winter Warmers possible.

Head of Food Kate Davies praised her team of student food ambassadors, saying, “Their dedication and enthusiasm have been inspirational. They work tirelessly to serve our highly valued attendees, creating a fantastic culture of teamwork and service.”

Clevedon School invites everyone, regardless of age, to enjoy their evenings of food, fun, and fellowship.

Spaces can be reserved by emailing the school at office@clevedonschool.org.uk.
