Not sleeping? There is good news. Five top tips for sleep.

When you’re not sleeping well – it’s just plain bad news. The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the sleep of millions across the world. But the good news is that there are some simple sleep tips we can try.

Try these simple tips.

1. Have to a sleep routine

Go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Our bodies work best when they are in routine.

2. Eat less late at night.

Skip large meals within a few hours of bedtime. It interrupts digestion. It’s the same with caffeine and other stimulants.

3. Keep your bedroom cool, dark and quiet

Avoid prolonged use of light-emitting screens just before bedtime. Do calm invoking routines before bedtime including deep breathing, relaxation and reading.

4 Exercise through the day

Do regular movement throughout the day. But not too late at night. Fresh air is wonderful.

5 Write down your worries 

Before bedtime, write down what’s on your mind and until tomorrow. Meditation is magical with anxiety.
