New £1.2 million roofs complete in latest development of fast-improving school

Stunning drone aerial photographs have been taken of the £1.2 million new roofs at The King Alfred School Academy.

Last week, the inspirational Somerset school unveiled the world’s biggest street art of their namesake King Alfred the Great – a 30 foot impressive mural by a renowned artist.

Now the replacement of the roof is complete after been funded through grants made available once TKASA became an Academy.

New skylights and windows have also been installed throughout the roof works, and the whole project has been seen on amazing new photographs.

Principal Nathan Jenkins said: “These photos capture the modern, professional facilities that we are building here at TKASA. It has been a brilliant year so far and we are continuing to see excellent improvements in all aspects of the school.”

The Priory Learning Trust which runs TKASA has a track record of improving both school sites and school standards.
