Malawi students welcome Jill Dando News

Malawian students at Mnjiri Community Day Secondary School, in the Northen district of Mzimba, have welcomed Jill Dando News.
They say they are happy to be part of the initiative to share stories and events happening at their school.
The students expressed their delight on the sidelines of a five-day journalism training of 10 students drawn from the school.
One of the students, Asiyatu Anussah said she is happy to be part of Jill Dando News in UK, saying she feels a dream come true to be trained in Journalism.
She said: “I am happy to be part of Jill Dando News. It has always been a dream for me to study journalism since childhood. I do not take this opportunity for granted, but it has come at a right time.
“I sincerely thank Sarah O’ Gorman and Limbikira Foundation for extending this initiative to Malawi and especially at Mnjiri CDSS,” said Anussah.
Another, Student, Shirah Kadwala said she was happy to be exposed to the initiative and she will work hard together with her friends to share stories with Jill Dando News in UK.
In concurring with Kadwala, Maranatha Masewo and Prisca Nyambose said the initiative is a great mile towards creating a network with fellow Jill Dando journalists in the UK.
“This will be an encouragement for us to work hard and achieve our dreams of becoming well established professional journalists in the future. We will work hard and consistently share stories around the events happening at our school,” said Masewo and Nyambose respective
